Chandigarh College of Architecture (CCA), Chandigarh was established on 7th August 1961 and it was set up as a part of the great Chandigarh Experiment to impart co-education in Architecture.
The college is affiliated with the Panjab University, Chandigarh. It is recognized & approved by Council of Architecture (COA), New Delhi.
The college caters to the needs of architectural education largely of the north-western region, covering the regions of India including the states of Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir as well as the Union Territory of Chandigarh.
The fundamental aim of the CCA is to impart spiritually-oriented and value-based education to young aspirants under circumstances congenial to their all-round development. It encourages the students to aim at excellence not only in academic pursuits but also in every aspect of human endeavor to achieve perfection.
The campus is housed inside the PEC University of Technology (formerly Punjab Engineering College) Campus, Sector 12 in Chandigarh. CCA is widely spread in 5 acres campus with its outdoor games grounds like cricket ground, basketball court, volleyball court and also has a special facility with gymnasium.
At present, the college offers five years undergraduate course in Architecture stream with providing proficient teaching with needful techniques under the affiliating university.
