Calcutta Girls B.T. College (CGBTC), Kolkata was established in 1965. The college is affiliated to Calcutta University, West Bengal and approved by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE).

College is one of the prominent girl’s colleges in the city of Kolkata. The college offers Bachelor of Education programme.

The college was established to elevate female section of the society and empower them to take part in the development process of the society, by grooming them to become qualified teachers.

The College is associated with dedicated and expert teachers and college has state-of-the-art infrastructure in its campus.

The institution possesses a four storied building constructed on four cotthas of land equivalent to 1,696.826 sq. mtr. under Kolkata Municipal Corporation, Ward No. 68 consisting of 13 rooms including class room, library, laboratories etc. It has a good computer setup, tape-recorder, projector, microphone and other technological facilities.

Presently there are 8 full-time teachers, six part-time teachers and eleven non-teaching staff. The name of the course conducted by this institution is Bachelor of Education. It is basically a one year course. Present intake capacity of Calcutta Girls' B T College for this course is 50 (fifty). Session : From May to June every year.
