Boudh Panchayat College, Boudh was established on 31st July 1978 was founded by the C.M. of Orissa honorable Late Nilamani Routroy and managed under the active guidance of Late Natabara Pradhan.

It is one of the premier colleges established to impart & provide in the field of higher education for the deserving candidates and prove to be a milestone on the part of progress.

The college is affiliated with the Sambalpur University, Sambalpur and it is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) under section 2(f) & 12(B) on 23rd November 1991 under Act, 1956.

It is accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with "C" Grade (in 1st Cycle) on 8th March 2009.

The aim of the college is to provide students with the knowledge and skills they need in this era of information and teaching and as well as to provide the ideal environment to develop the mental, Physical, social and spiritual level of students.

It is a co-educational private Institute, providing regular courses at primarily the higher secondary and undergraduate levels which are located in a rural part of a Boudh played a pioneering role in the field of higher education.

The college conferred the status of grant-in-aid college that the fees and all the facilities for the students are fixed by the government. The student's admission is done as per the Admission Criteria prescribed by the affiliating university.

The college has awarded as the best college by the affiliating university and also a number of awards in publication, offering scholarship & also awarded by the different society.

Since then this premier academic institution began to shed luster in the academic horizon with Intermediate Arts, Science, and Commerce which in 1983 turned to be present +2 Arts, Science, and Commerce having an affiliation with CHSE, Orissa.

Subsequently, degree Arts, Science, and Commerce have been added to the curriculum with honors in Arts & Science under Sambalpur University. The college finds the place in the 12(B) scheme of the U.G.C for different financial assistance from time to time.

The premier academic institution began to shed luster in the academic horizon with two years of Intermediate courses in Arts, Science, and Commerce stream from 1983 turned to be present +2 Arts, Science and Commerce having an affiliation with Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE), Odisha.

At present, the college offers two years intermediate courses in Arts, Science, & Commerce streams with various optional specializations under Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE), Odisha.

The college also offers three years undergraduate courses in Arts, Commerce, & Science streams with optional specializations under Sambalpur University, Sambalpur. Students should have to choose one honor (core) subject with two or more as subsidiary (elective) subjects for the specific undergraduate streams. It also offers Add-On Certificate courses.

The college also has a Contact Centre of Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU), New Delhi to offer UG, PG, & Add-On Certificate courses.

A medical facility has been available in the college for the benefit of the students

A special complaint cell (Sexual Harassment Cell) has been formed for the female students in the college. Students can directly complain orally or by written application to the head of the cell. Apart from this, Ragging is strictly prohibited on the college campus
