BLDEA’s Vachana Pitamaha Dr. P. G. Halakatti College of Engineering & Technology was established in 1980 and offers 8 undergraduate & 9 postgraduate programs in Engineering along with MCA & MBA programs.

It is affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belagavi and its undergraduate programs are accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA), New Delhi and All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi.

The institute also has six departments are recognized as Research Centres by VTU, Belgaum to offer Ph.D. and M.Sc. Engg. (by research) programmes.

From past 10-15 years, the staff strength and student intake have grown from 25 to 225 and from 120 to 1152 respectively. The staff strength is reinforced with 15 Doctorates, 175 Post Graduates. The staff members work hard to provide our students with all that is top-notch in engineering and management fields require.

The institute aims to be an ideal institution providing quality technical education and training to students in tune with the evolving challenges and social needs through a flexible and innovative learning process, enabling the students to excel in their professions and careers with a high degree of integrity and ethical standards.

The institute has several projects underway to establish itself as a world-class technological institute.
