Biswanath College of Education, Chariali was established in 1992.

Biswanath College of Education is a privately managed Secondary Teacher's training Institute affiliated to Gauhati University, Guwahati and recognized by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE).

College was shifted to its own building on its own land allotted by the govt.of Assam in the year 1994.

Students here are admitted based on as per Gauhati University, Guwahati guide lines and NCTE first recognized the college in the year 1995 vide its order N0 4051 dt 5.8.97 with intake Capacity of 100.

20% Seats are reserved for the students of out the state of Assam (Migrated) as per G.U. Guide line.

Admission regulation of Marks (50% for general 45% reserved category) is strictly followed.

The College is managed by a Private Body with "not for profit" motive.

Various teaching and learning techniques are being used by the faculty to impart knowledge and skills to students at Biswanath College of Education, Chariali in its various departments.
