Bharati Vidyapeeth's Matoshri Bayabai Shripatrao Kadam Kanya Mahavidyalaya, Kadegaon (Dist. Sangli) was established in July 1990 and managed under Bharati Vidyapeeth.

It is one of the premier colleges established to impart & provide in the field of higher education for the deserving candidates and prove to be a milestone in their part of progress.

The college is affiliated with the Shivaji University, Kolhapur in 2001 and it is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) under section 2(f) & 12(B) on 5th June 2003 under Act, 1956.

It is re-accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with "A" Grade (CGPA Score 3.13 on a 4 Point Scale in 2nd Cycle) on 10th March 2012.

The objective of the institute is to disseminate the women’s education and inculcation of need-based academic and intellectual skills and to inculcate moral values and scientific temper.

The Bharati Vidyapeeth has been established numbers of colleges/schools for the student in the region of Maharashtra and all over the India having K.G. to P.G.

It is a women's private institute, providing a regular course which is located in a rural part of Sangli played a pioneering role in the field of higher education. the campus is located in another city also has a different name of institutions.

The college conferred the status of grant-in-aid college that the fees and all the facilities for the students are fixed by the government. The student's admission is done as per the Admission Criteria prescribed by the affiliating university.

The college has awarded as the best college by the affiliating university and also a number of awards in publication, offering scholarship & also awarded by the different society.

This college has ranked 99th in all over the India according to National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF).

At present, the college offers two years intermediate courses in Arts, Science, & Commerce streams with optional specializations under Maharashtra State Board of Secondary & Higher Secondary Education, Pune.

The college also offers three years undergraduate courses in Arts, Science, and Commerce streams with various specializations under Shivaji University, Kolhapur. It also offers Postgraduate, Doctorate, & Add-On Certificate courses.
