Bharathiyar Arts and Science College for Women (BASCW), Deviyakurichi was established in 1997.

Its affiliated to Bharathiar University.

Its maintained by Sri Sakthi Educational Trust.

The aim of the trust is to provide value based higher education to rural women and develop the overall personality of the students by enriching their creativity, self-confidence, communication and leadership skills. The college is affiliated to Periyar University.

The college has a highly motivated team of staff who transform the rural women into modern women bold enough to face every challenge in life with their triple arm method – Teaching, Research and Extension.
