Bharathidasan Institute of Management, Bangalore was born in the year 1984 when Bharat Ratna Shri. C. Subramaniam, along with Prof. P. S. Mani Sundaram, the 1st Vice-Chancellor of Bharathidasan University chaired a meeting of leading academicians and industrialists. The concept of a management institute that is grounded in strong theoretical inputs and would have the proactive partnership of a large industrial organization was envisioned. BIM boasts of a faculty profile that would make any institution proud. The core faculty is backed by academic knowledge and industry experience, while actively working on research projects throughout the year. The academic inputs provided by the core faculty are complemented by industrial knowledge imparted by guest lectures. The visiting faculty are also carefully chosen to ensure only the best teach at BIM.
