Bhabha Institute of Technology (BIT), Kanpur was established in 1993.

It is one of the colleges of Bhabha Groups of Institution.

BIT is approved by All India Council for technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi and affiliated to Gautam Buddh Technical University.

The college has been established to meet the ever growing demand for Trained Professional Manpower for industries and also to serve as a training ground for children of this region in the engineering profession.
