Baba Farid College, Bathinda was established in July 2005 and managed by Baba Farid Vidyak Society which was established in 1993.

It is one of the premier colleges established to impart & provide in the field of higher education for the deserving candidates and prove to be a milestone in the part of progress.

The college is affiliated with Punjabi University, Patiala and it is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) under section 2(f) & 12(B) under Act, 1956.

It is accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) and also an ISO 9001:2008 certified college.

The college aim is to maintain international standards of infrastructure and equipment to facilitate true learning and developed the college as per international standards of education.

Baba Farid Group of Institutions is an organization who has opened numbers of schools and college that were offering different courses, facility, and infrastructure in different fields for the students on the same campus. Therefore the Baba Farid college also comes into the same institutions and on the same campus.

It is a co-educational self-financed private college, providing a regular course which is located in an urban part of a Bathinda played a pioneering role in the field of higher education.

The college has receives many awards and prizes annually recognize in the field of the excellent performers in Sports, Culture, and Academics. Every year 100s of students are honored for their outstanding performance in Sports, Culture, and Academics.

The college offers three years undergraduate courses in Bachelor of Arts (B.A.), Bachelor of Bussiness Administration (B.B.A.), Bachelor of Science (B.Sc), and Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) streams with various specializations under Punjabi University, Patiala.

The college also offers two years postgraduate courses in Arts, Commerce, and Science streams with various specializations to the students. It offers diploma and self-financed courses as well.
