BBK DAV College for Women, Amritsar was established in 1967.

It is affiliated to Guru Nanak Dev University under the aegis of DAV College Managing Committee, New Delhi, with the avowed aim of spreading the benefits of education to women, synchronizing tradition with modernity.

The college is committed to the empowerment of women through learning beyond education in futuristic vision.

The main focus of the college is on vocational and a professional degree which ensures not only ready employment but also qualifies the students for self-employment.
