Basava Academy of Engineering (BAE), Bangalore was established in 2002 under the flagship of Sri Belimatha Maha Samsthana socio cultural and education trust.

The college is recognized by the Government of Karnataka and approved by AICTE and affiliated to Visveswaraiah Technological University.
The college has initiated E D P programs in collaboration with micro, small and medium eterprises (MSME), Bangalore and AWAKE Bangalore and to enhance the E D P, they have started incubation centre in collaboration with local Industries.
The vision of the college is to make a pace setting Institution to prepare future engineers to compete with global challenge, to become future leaders and entrepreneurs.
The mission of the promoting body is to build an educational institute of excellence and the motto is quality education.
