Balasore Art & Crafts College, Balasore was advanced training Institution established in 1994 and managed by Board of Management and some eminent politicians like Sj. Ramachandra Khuntia (MP, Rajya Sabha), Sj. M.A Kharabela Swain (MP, Loka Sabha), Sj. Mannmath Nath Das (M.P, program Rajya Sabha).
It is one of the premier colleges established to impart & provide in the field of higher education for the deserving candidates and prove to be a milestone on the part of progress.
It is affiliated with Utkal University of Culture, Bhubaneswar.
The objective of the program and training in the college is to achieve overall refinement of the student's perception, not confined to the technical skills of the profession alone but also to create the right kind of intellect, as well as aesthetic & emotional cultivation to arrive at the level of composite creativity & thought.
College stood as a pioneer art and Craft Center of the Northern Orissa. It extends its support to the artist of Orissa, West Bengal, Jharkhand, Chhatisgarh and Bihar across India.
It is a co-educational private Institute, providing a regular course which is located in a rural part of a Balasore played a pioneering role in the field of higher education.
Students are encouraged at all levels, to take part in various state and national competitions, exhibitions, sports and other extra-curricular activities and has produced excellent results every year.

The college offers three years of the program in Bachelor of Visual Art (B.V.A) and two years Master of Visual Art course (M.V.A) degree with various specializations under the Utkal University of Culture, Bhubaneswar.
The institution has different departments like Painting, Sculpture, Graphic Art, Applied Art, Indian Painting, Pottery & Ceramic, Computer Graphics & Animation, Photography, aptitude etc.
The students who have passed the +2 Certificate Examination conducted by the Council of Higher Secondary Education, Odisha or any examination recognized as equivalent thereto will be considered eligible for admission to this course, subject to their pass aptitude test.
