Babu Anant Ram Janta College, Kaul was established on 11th July 1970 by Late Babu Anant Ram Ji (1909-1990).

It is one of the premier institutions to impart & provide in the field of higher education for the deserving candidates and prove to be a milestone in the part of progress.

The college is affiliated to Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra and recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) under section 2(f) & 12(B) on 12th Jul 1973 under Act, 1956.

It is accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with "B+" Grade - (in 1st Cycle) on 21st March 2003.

The college is situated in agrarian, rural and literary backward region of the village Kaul, the village of Arjun Awardee, International Volleyball player Late Sh. Balwant Singh, so craze for sports and games dominates the surrounding area.

Following the path of its visionary founder, late Babu Anant Ram Ji, Ex-MLA in erstwhile State of Punjab and architect of this institution, late Ch. Ishwar Singh Ji, Ex-Speaker, Haryana Vidhan Sabha to disseminate quality education in the educationally starved rural area.

Babu Anant Ram Janta College, Kaul switched on demanding courses by offering degree level courses of B.Sc. (Non-medical), B.Sc. (Physical Education, Health Education & Sports) and vocational course, Diploma in Physical Education (D.P.Ed.), in addition to its traditional courses of B.A. and B. Com.

The college also offers two years Diploma in Physical Education (D.P.Ed.) for those who have completed their intermediate with the minimum aggregate of 50% from any recognized college or university are eligible to apply for this course.

Therefore the college offers three years undergraduate courses in Arts, Science & Commerce stream under Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra. It also offers some Diploma, Postgraduate Diploma & Add-on courses.
