Ansar Women’s College (AWC), Perumpilavu (Dist. Thrissur) is a self-financing Post-Graduate College was established in 2002 under the management of Ansari Charitable Trust, Perumpilavu.

It is one of the premier colleges established to impart & provide in the field of higher education for the deserving candidates and prove to be a milestone on the part of progress.

The college is affiliated with the University of Calicut, Malappuram and it is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC).

AWC is situated in Thrissur district on the Calicut-Thrissur state highway about 6 km's from Kunnamkulam. It is accessible by both road and rail. The railway station at Guruvayur has a distance of 14 km's and Pattambi is of 18's km while Thrissur railway station is 30 km's south and Kuttipuram is 25's km north of the college.

The Trust was founded in 1979 and run by a group of eminent and scholarly personalities who formulates and executes different creative plans and programmes for achieving its noblest aims like propagation of education and moral values and other social services through a number of its prestigious institutions like Ansar English School, National Open School, Orphanage, Nursing School, Special School, Madrassathul Qur’an, Computer College, Ansar Training College for Women, Ansar Hospital etc.

The prime objective of Ansar Women’s College is the empowerment and enlightenment of Women who can thereby mold and lead the successive generations. The healthy and pious atmosphere of AWC helps the youth to attain academic excellence with moral confidence to face the challenges in the present and in future. AWC invites the young, energetic knowledge seekers to be a part of its mission to create an ideal society.

It is a women's college, providing regular courses at primarily the higher secondary and undergraduate levels which are located in a rural part of a Perumpilavu played a pioneering role in the field of higher education.

The college has awarded as the best college by the affiliating university and also a number of awards in publication, offering scholarship & also awarded by the different society.

The college offers three years undergraduate & two years postgraduate courses in Arts, Science, Commerce streams with optional specializations & some undergraduate courses in Management stream under the University of Calicut, Malappuram.
