AVS College of Education, Salem was established in 2005.

The College was initially affiliated to Periyar University and is now presently affiliated to Tamil Nadu Teachers Education University.

Set up with an objective of fulfilling the need of secondary level teachers in the region, the college offers a congenial atmosphere for the scholastic development of the students.

Equipped with all the necessary infrastructural facilities, the self financed co-educational college is approved by the N.C.T.E (National Council for Teacher Education).

AVS College of Education which is spread over an area of 7 acres of land works under the sponsorship and guidance of Om Sri Vivekananda Educational Trust.
