Army Institute of Management (AIMK), Kolkata was established in 1997. AIMK is a ISO 9001:2015 Certified Institute. It is one of the leading management schools in India.

AIMK was initially known as National Institute of Management Calcutta (NIMC) and the institute’s current name was given on 11 February, 2005.

The Army Institute of Management, Kolkata (Formerly, National Institute of Management Calcutta) was established on 28 July, 1997 by the Army Welfare Education Society (AWES), New Delhi, to conduct state-of-the-art Management Programme for the wards of Army Personnel (80%) with an opportunity for the general candidates (20%) as well, AIM Kolkata which was earlier located at Alipore (Near Command Hospital Eastern Command), Shifted to a state of the art, brand new campus at New Town, Rajarhat Kolakta on 27 May, 2021.

The Institute's MBA program is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education and affiliated to the West Bengal University of Technology. The college has been Ranked A++ Category B-School in the Country.

Scholarships

TATA merit scholarships are awarded by TATA Defence Welfare Corpus to army students ranking first and second each year through rehabilitation and welfare section, ceremonial and welfare directorate, adjutant general’s branch, integrated headquarters MoD (Army), kashmir house, students standing first are being awarded INR 20,000/- and standing second INR 15,000/-

Army commander’s scholarships amounting to INR 25,000/- each are awarded by HQ eastern command to two students of each batch every year

DLF raghvendra scholarships amounting to INR 50,000/- each are awarded by DLF foundation to two students of each batch every year

AGIF scholarships amounting to INR 40,000/- each are awarded from army group insurance fund to 24 students (of army category) of each batch every year

Chairman's scholarship each amounting to INR 25,000/- are awarded by HQ bengal area to 2 students (one boy and one girl) of army category (NCO/OR) of each batch every year

Army commander’s meritorious scholarships each amounting to INR 25,000/- are awarded by HQ eastern command to 3 passing out students standing first in Marketing, Fianance and HR and one girl student overall first in merit every year
