Anjabit Singh (A.S.) College, Bikramganj was established on 28th August 1957. It is one of the prestigious and oldest constituent colleges of Veer Kunwar Singh University, Ara (V.K.S.U.).

The college was established by Late Shri Nepal Singh, the resident of Dhawan village of Bikramganj Sub-division, Rohtas. At the very outset, Justice Anand Singh and Justice Kainhaiya Singh were the members of the Governing body of this college. Shri Vishwanath Singh was the founder principal of this college.

In 1976, it has become a constituent unit of Magadh University, Bodh Gaya subsequently gained recognition by the University Grant Commission (UGC) under section 2(f) and 12(B) in 1983 and accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation (NAAC).

On separation and establishment of Veer Kunwar Singh University, A. S. College becomes part and affiliated constituent unit of Veer Kunwar Singh University, Ara in 1992.

Since then the A.S. College has grown by many folds and now a day college is a well known educational body in Patna Division and offering various courses in Science, Arts, Humanities and Computer Science at UG and PG levels.

The college also offers B.C.A. course under the vocational/professional program. It also running Remedial Coaching and entry level coaching in-services to downtrodden students, who belong to SC / ST / Minorities and OBC, financed by U.G.C.

Rules and Regulations at Anjabit Singh (A.S.) College, Bikramganj:

Every student residing in the A.S.Collge, Bikramganj during the term of the courses shall be directly under the disciplinary jurisdiction of the superintendent and the college authority
In the case of indiscipline, misconduct, misbehavior, stealing or damaging any college property, the boarders are liable for any punishment as may be imposed by the authority superintendent
Possessing or consuming any drugs or intoxicant of any kind, possessing or using any firearms, lethal weapon, explosive or dangerous substance on the premises of the college will be dealt with as per provision of the rules of the college authority
Boarders are not allowed to permit any unauthorized person in the college. No outsider shall be allowed in the hostel premises after 6 p.m.
Ragging, bullying or harassing any students are strictly prohibited and are subject to the expulsion from the college
Indulging in any kind of violence, assault, intimidation or threatening in the College or outside by any boarder will be severely dealt with
Disorderly behavior in any form by the boarder is liable for disciplinary action including expulsion from the Hostel and the college
Boarders are not allowed to use T.V., Transistor, Electric Iron, Heater, Stove etc. in the Rooms

The college Unit NSS Wing performs different type of social services within and outside of the area
The college maintains a "Students Welfare Fund" to provide financial help to the poor and deserving students, on application from such students, subject to the availability of funds
Special remedial classes are organized for the academically poor students, the economically vulnerable but meritorious students are provided free admission and other in-house scholarships
