AMS College of Teacher Education, Hyderabad is approved by Rehabilitation Council of India and was established in the year 1971.

The institute was inaugurated by Dr.N.Ramesam, Secretary(Edn.) Government of A.P. in 1974.

In the same year College was admitted to grant-in-aid. A variety of teaching and learning techniques are employed to impart knowledge and skills to students at AMS College of Teacher Education.

Admissions are made on the basis of marks secured in the qualifying exam and as per norms prescribed by the University.

Their motto is to provide training to women for harnessing their services in the nation building.

This is the only private aided college to be upgraded to CTE in the State of Andhra Pradesh.
