Amrita Institute of Medical Science (AIMS), Kochi was established in 1999.

It is affiliated to Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham University.

The Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences is the adjunct to the term "new universalism" coined by the World Health Organization. AIMS was founded on the highest principles with an emphasis on compassionate service to people, charity and excellence through education.

Annual patient turnover touches an incredible figure of over 6,15,000 outpatients and nearly 54,800 inpatients.
