Amity University Lucknow Campus (AULC) is a constituent unit of Amity University, Uttar Pradesh & it was established in the year 2004 with the sole objective to impart research & innovation driven education in the region.

The first Director General of the Campus was Maj. Gen. K.K. Ohri (Retd.), AVSM, who joined the Campus on July 19, 2004.

Amity University Lucknow Campus is designed to be a center of academic excellence and holistic development, where brilliant young minds are nurtured to evolve into capable global leaders.

A rigorous regime that leverages the best of knowledge, pedagogy and educational trends from across the world, helps students become the best that they can be. A sharp focus on innovation and research, further propels talented young minds to explore the boundaries of knowledge and imagination. All within a state-of-the-art campus that is globally benchmarked in every aspect of education, infrastructure, facilities, holistic developments, sports and futuristic thinking.

The present new campus at Gomti Nagar Extension (Near Malhaur Railway Station), Lucknow came into existence in the year 2009 when it gradually shifted from its old location of Viraj Khand, Gomti Nagar.

The 40 acre state of the art campus is a fine blend of global education, training & research within academic ambience. With the latest teaching methodologies AULC offers UGC recognized Undergraduate & Post graduate courses in multiple disciplines.

At present, It has 17 institutions which cater to 87 programmes having more than 5000 students. The multiple research centers at AULC felicitate research in the diversified areas like Nanotechnology, Biotechnology, Electronics, Agriculture, Forensic Sciences & many others.

The aim of the university is to meet the challenges of emerging global knowledge economy, by the power of innovation, creativity and efficient learning ability. The university offers various undergraduate & postgraduate course in Arts, Science, Commerce, Management, Engineering, Architecture, & Law streams with various optional specializations.

Approval by AICTE

As per law, Universities do not require AICTE Approval. Only Institutions which are affiliated to Universities require approval. As Amity University is a Bonafide University established by a State Act, It does not require AICTE Approval. This standing of law is notified in the case of Bharathidasan University Vs AICTE.
