Amity Institute of English Studies and Research (AIEBC), was instituted with the guidance of the Founder President Dr. Ashok Chauhan under Amity University Uttar Pradesh in the year 2005. Ever since its inception, it has grown from strength to strength. The department offers B.A. (Hons.) English ; MA English, M. Phil. English and Ph. D study programmes. In addition to the four full time courses, the institute also offers part time courses. The institute also offers tailor made training programmes for governmental and non-governmental organisations.

Under the present Director Dr. Madhulika Jha, AIEBC is contributing to the academic life of the university. At present AIEBC consists of 20 well-qualified and experience faculty members who are actively engaged in teaching, training and research. Besides, AIEBC has a Academic Programmes Officer and other support staffs to create the right learning environment. AIEBC is also engaged in teaching English / Business Communication courses to different programmes of Amity University as a value added course.
