Alva's College, Moodbidri, also known as Alva’s First Grade College, Moodbidri, was established in 1998. It is one of the constituent parts of Alva’s Education Foundation, Moodbidri.

It is one of the premier colleges established to impart & provide in the field of higher education for the deserving candidates and prove to be a milestone on the part of progress.

The college is affiliated to Mangalore University, Mangaluru and recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) under section 2(f) & 12(B) under Act, 1956.

It is accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with "B" Grade - (CGPA Score 2.52 on a 4 Point Scale in 1st Cycle) on 15th September 2012.

Presently, it offers 28 UG (Undergraduate) and 21 PG (Post Graduate) programs in Arts, Science, Commerce, & Management streams.

Alva’s College is known for integration of cultural and sports activities with academics. The college has been recognized as a premier institute under Mangalore University, Mangaluru.

The college provides hundred percent placement opportunities for all eligible candidates. More than thirty certificate courses are offered to supplement professional development.

The college has been bagging highest number of ranks in the Mangalore University, Mangaluru examinations and retained the championship of sports and cultural activities since ten years.
