All Saints' College, Thiruvananthapuram was established on 6th July 1964 founded by Rev. Mother Mary Louis, CCR with the approbation of Rt. Rev. Dr. V V Dereere, OCD, Bishop of Trivandrum.

It is run by the Congregation of the Carmelite Religious (CCR)-(Estd: 1868), a Minority Religious Institute devoted primarily to the Catholic education of girls.

It is one of the premier minority colleges established to impart & provide in the field of higher education for the deserving candidates and prove to be a milestone in the part of progress.

The college is affiliated to the University of Kerala, Thiruvananthapuram (formerly known as the University of Travancore, Thiruvananthapuram) and recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) under section 2(f) & 12(B) on 1st January 1969 under Act, 1956.

It is re-accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with "A" Grade - (CGPA Score 3.01 on a 4 Point Scale in 3rd Cycle) on 15th September 2016.

The college begins functioning in the Holy Angels’ premises with Miss Margaret P. Paulose as Principal and 277 students in the First-Year Pre-Degree class. Later On 15th May 1965, His Excellency the Most Rev. James R. Knox, Apostolic Internuncio to India lays the foundation stone of the first block of the college at Chackai, the permanent campus.

The college was shifted to the new campus at Chackai on 10th January 1967. It is upgraded on 24th July 1967 with the introduction of Degree Courses in English, History, Economics, Mathematics, Chemistry, and Zoology.

The college is selected as a centre for the Kerala State IT Mission (KSITM) programme, “Skill Enhancement Computer Training and Women’s Resource Centre in Colleges of Kerala” in January 2011.

The college also conferred the status of grant-in-aid college that the fees and all the facilities for the students are fixed by the government. The student's admission is done as per the Admission Criteria prescribed by the affiliating university.

All Saints’ College is one of the three colleges in Kerala under the Star College Scheme. This is a scheme initiated by the Department of Biotechnology (DBT) under the Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India to nurture excellence in undergraduate Science.

In the year 2013, the college celebrates its Golden Jubilee marking 50 years of academic excellence and service. A debt of gratitude is owed to the leaders who have made the institution what it is today.

At present, the college offers three years undergraduate & two years postgraduate courses in Arts, Science, Commerce, & Management streams with various optional specializations under the University of Kerala, Thiruvananthapuram. It also offers various Add-On Diploma & Certificate courses.

The college also has a Contact Centre of Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU), New Delhi to offer Add-On UG, PG, & Certificate Courses through distance mode.
