Established in 2014, Al-Azhar Super Specialty Hospital and Medical College (AAMC) is one of the constituent colleges of Al-Azhar Group of Institutions run by Noorul Islam Trust by Mr. K M Moosa.

The institutions are declared as minority institution as covered in section 2(g) of the national commission for minority education. The institution widely acknowledged as one of the top institutions for imparting diverse fields of education in the state, the trust caters to the needs of Muslims in particular and others in general.

The hospital and medical college bring in the best practices in healthcare technology for the benefit of the medical students of the state. Al-Azhar Medical College and Super Specialty Hospital support the mission of the group to increase the availability of physicians to serve the needs of the people living in different parts of the state.

The 48-acres campus at Kumaramangalam Panchayath, Thodupuzha serves as the main campus of Al-Azhar Group of Institution.
