Al-Azhar College of Arts and Science, Thodupuzha (Dist. Idukki) was established in 2002. It is one of the constituent units of Al-Azhar Group of Institutions and managed by Noorul Islam Trust (R). Al-Azhar College of Arts and Science is the first institution to be started under the group.

It is one of the premier colleges established to impart & provide in the field of higher education for the deserving candidates and prove to be a milestone in the part of progress.
 
The college is affiliated to Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam and it is recognized Government of Kerala.

The college was started with the sole aim of providing professional education to the students from in and around Thodupuzha. It is a vibrant, aspirational institution with a reputation for high achievement within a supportive atmosphere and caring environment.

The main aim of the college is to impart quality education with high values to the students and give them every possible opportunity and exposure to meet the challenges of the world.

The college offers the regular Degree and Post-Graduate courses, the college also offers new generation Degree and Post-Graduate courses like BCA, BBA, BTS, BBM and Travel and Tourism and courses. The college has a fine team of qualified, experienced and dedicated faculty and staff members.

A variety of teaching and learning techniques are employed to impart knowledge and skills to students in its various departments. The college has well equipped, airy and spacious class rooms with all modern facilities.
