Aklia Degree College, Goniana Mandi (Dist. Bathinda) was established in 2008 and managed by Aklia Educational & Research Society which was established in 2003.

It is one of the premier colleges established to impart & provide in the field of higher education for the deserving candidates and prove to be a milestone in the part of progress.

The trust has been started the first college of education i.e. Aklia College of Education for Women was started giving B.Ed. & E.T.T courses to impart teacher education. In the second phase, the institution started degree courses in BCA, BBA, BA, PGDCA, Polytechnic and much more institutions for the students in the same building.

The college is affiliated with Punjabi University, Patiala and it is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) under section 2(f) & 12(B) under Act, 1956.

The aim is to provide a solid foundation for long life learning upon which students can achieve maximum potential and to preserve our cultural heritage and provide a healthy learning environment.

It is a co-educational self-financed private college, providing a regular course which is located in a rural part of a Bathinda played a pioneering role in the field of higher education.

The college offers three years undergraduate courses in Bachelor of Arts (B.A.), Bachelor of Computer Application (B.C.A.), Bachelor of Science (B.Sc), and Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) with various specialization under Punjabi University, Patiala.

The college also offers two year's post-graduate Diploma in Computer Application (P.G.D.C.A) and in Arts streams to the students.

A special complaint cell (Sexual Harassment Cell) has been formed for the female students in the college. Students can directly complain orally or by written application to the head of the cell. Apart from this, Ragging is strictly prohibited on the college campus
