AIMS Institutes, Bengaluru was established in 1994 and managed by JMJ Education Society

It is affiliated with the Bangalore University, Bengaluru and it is recognized by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi.

Acharya Institute of Management and Sciences was re-accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with "A" Grade (CGPA Score 3.46 on a 4 Point Scale in 1st Cycle) on 4th September 2010.

The aim of the institute is offering an excellent education to those students who want to enter into the field of hospitality administration also imparting high-quality hotel management education acceptable to the international hospitality industry.

It is a co-educational self-financing institute, providing a regular course which is located in an urban part of Bengaluru played a pioneering role in the field of higher education.

The institute first began as a three-year programme in 2000 and later it was redesigned as a four-year programme.The new Bachelor of Hotel Management (BHM) course broken down into eight semesters was established in 2005.

The institute offers 4 years an undergraduate program in Bachelor’s Degree in Hotel Management (BHM) under the affiliating University.

The BHM course also hosts external trips to outdoor locations especially within the country for students to gain first-hand experience in the ways and workings of the hotel industry.

The Department of Hotel Management at AIMS has introduced student & faculty exchange programmes, Twinning Programmes, bringing in additional courses, making scholarships available to pursue integrated courses and providing a channel for students to take up their Industrial training overseas.

The AIMS department of Hotel Management networks with a large number of hotel groups throughout the country and helps students to get relevant exposure from their industrial trips.

The department has tie-ups with Schiller International University and College of Tourism, Cypress for Master programme in Hospitality and General Management. MOU with University of California & Disney World, Florida, USA has been done to facilitate Student-Internships overseas.

AIMS, Bengaluru is one of the top three Institutes in Bengaluru for Hospitality Education. It has ranked in the top 5th in the region for two consecutive years making hotel management courses the leaders in this sector.

The Institute has secured 3rd position overall among Private Hotel Management Colleges among the South Zone Hotel Management Colleges, and in All India ranking 12th among Top Colleges in Hotel Management.

Admissions to AIMS is through Written Ability Test (WAT) conducted every year. Admissions will be based on the merit of the candidates in the Written Admission Test.
