AIMS College of Engineering, Mummidivaram established in 2009, was previously known as “Amalapuram Institute of Management Sciences and College of Engineering” with the approval of AICTE, New Delhi. The college is affiliated to JNTU, Kakinada and approved by the government of A.P.

Amalapuram Institute of Management Sciences and College of Engineering is the result of the dream of a visionary and philanthropic personality Sri P. Jagannadha Raju popularly known as “Jagga Raju Garu” in the Konaseema region of East Godavari District. He had been nurturing the idea of establishing an institute of higher learning for the benefit of the children of the local agrarian population. His ideas and dreams and discussions with several eminent and likeminded people have taken shape and resulted in the establishment of the AMALAPURAM INSTITUTE OF MANAGEMENT SCIENCES AND COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING popularly known as “AIMS COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING” in the year 2009-10 with the approval of AICTE, New Delhi. The college is affiliated to JNTU, Kakinada and approved by the Government of A.P.

The college is located in a lush green coconut grove abutting the National Highway 216 at Mummidivaram. The college offers B.Tech., courses in ECE, CSE, CIVIL, EEE, Mech. M.Tech. courses in CSE and EEE (Power Electronics) and Diploma courses: DME and DEEE. The college has more than adequate infrastructural area, well-established laboratories, rich library, with qualified, well-experienced and committed faculty to mould the raw and young student who joins the college into a professionally competent Engineer. The college has facilities for outdoor games, indoor games and a well-equipped gymnasium. The college has its own hostels for boys and girls and a cafeteria.
