Agartala Government Medical College (AGMC), Agartala was established in 2005.

Its affiliated to Tripura University.

It is situated in the G B Pant Hospital campus in a newly constructed building. It is fully equipped with Laboratories, Dissection Theatres, Lecture Theatres, Central Library, Common Room, Cafeteria, Intercom facilities etc.

A state of the art new Medical College Building will come up by 2007. Agartala Government Medical College is recognized & approved by Medical Council of India, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, New Delhi and affiliated to Tripura University.

The Medical College campus is spread over 42 acres of land. AGMC will have a 300 capacity Boys’ Hostel, 200 capacity Girls’ Hostel, 40 capacity Girls’ Intern, 60 capacity Boys Intern, 350 capacity Nurses Hostel, 200 capacity Resident Doctor Hostel, 132 units of staff quarters for Associate Professor / Assistant Professor / Tutor / Sr. Residents. 96 Units of Staff quarters for Jr. Resident / Technical Assistant etc. and 12 units of Staff quarter for Professor.
