Adwaita Mission Training College, Banka an autonomous institution established in 2006 by Late Anand Shankar Madhavan, has a pioneering role in the educational realm of erstwhile Bhagalpur Division.

The college is affiliated to Tilka Manjhi Bhagalpur University, Bhagalpur and has been accorded recognition to B.Ed. course by National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), ERC, Bhubaneswar vide order no. ERC/7-736 (a) 20/2007/6227 dated February, 9th 2007 with an intake of 100 students.

The Vidyapeeth gradually expanded its activities in the sphere of Education. Adwaita Mission High School up to 10+2 level affiliated to C.B.S.E., Delhi was started in 1990. Adwaita Mission Training College is a sequent step towards its extension which was founded in 2006 to cater the needs and aspirations of a vast sprawling area inhabited by the rural mass including the underprivileged tribes and minorities.

In a brief span of its inception, the institution has added another feather to its cap when it has got the status of IGNOU B.Ed. Program Study Centre in 2007. Besides all these, the institution has been trying its best to impart Quality Education by extending its activities in order to make it as a Centre of Excellence in the field of Education.

The institute offers one year Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) course for those who have completed their graduation with minimum aggregate of 50% from any recognized university are eligible to apply for this course.

Students here are admitted who completed their graduation from recognized university with at least 50% marks in major or in aggregate at the Degree level. But Scheduled Castes (S.C.), Scheduled Tribes (S.T.) & (O.B.C) candidates are to be entitled with a relaxation 5% marks ineligibility for admission.

Various teaching and learning techniques are being used by the faculty to impart knowledge and skills to students at Adwaita Mission Training College, Banka in its various departments.
