Acharya Nagarjuna University, Department of Political Science and Public Administration, Guntur was established in 1980.

It comes under the Nagarjuna University and gradually blossomed into a centre with strong commitment of teaching and research.

The College offers post graduate courses. Dr. C.V. Raghavulu, who was then a faculty member in the Department of Politics and Public Administration at Andhra University, Visakhapatnam joined Nagarjuna University as a Professor, and was entrusted with the taste of building up the new Department.

He nutured the Department with great care, Determination and Vision.

College is well equipped with all Modern facilities Acharya Nagarjuna University started in 1992, since then has grown into a large University with 39 Academic Departments, including several self-financed courses.

Its jurisdiction was extended to three districts now having over 364 affiliated colleges offering Under-Graduate, Post-Graduate, Engineering, Education, Law, Pharmacy and Oriental Languages courses.
