To conduct the examination, board requires appointing invigilators and flying squads, beside providing allowances to these members, transporting of question papers cost more to the board in the month of March and April respectively.
As per the sources, 50% of the cost will be brought down if this new measure will be adopted.
According to the sources, board faces problem in appointing the invigilators and shortage of manpower and evaluators during the exams. The teachers from other schools also had to be appointed. As such, the students from classes of 6 to 9 will be in trouble.
TNDGE officials had meeting with the District Education Officers (DEO) to seek their opinion on conducting the exams simultaneously.
However, most of them opposed the idea, and they raised the question on basic infrastructure in government schools across the state. Some of them have welcomed the idea.
The students of SSLC and Plus 2 will be made to sit in the same examination hall and provided the respective question papers. The answer sheets will be collected in half n hour gap between both the exam.
