ICAI to conduct Common Proficiency Test (CPT) 14 Dec 2014

The Council of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI), New Delhi has announced that the second Common Proficiency Test (CPT) will be held on Sunday, December 14, 2014 in two sessions.

First Session: Morning Session
10.30 AM to 12.30 PM: Section - A: Fundamental of Accounting.
Section - B: Mercantile Laws.

Second Session: Afternoon Session
2.00 PM to 4.00 PM: Section - C: General Economics.
Section - D: Quantitative Aptitude.

Applications for admission to Common Proficiency Test (CPT) is required to be made in the relevant prescribed form as contained in the Information Brochure, which may be obtained from the Additional Secretary (Examinations), The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, ICAI Bhawan, Indraprastha Marg, New Delhi - 110002 on payment of Rs 1,000/- ( Rs 500/- towards examination fee and 500/- towards cost of application form and Information brochure) per application form.

Common Proficiency Test application forms duly filled in may be sent to the Additional Secretary (Examinations) at New Delhi not later than Oct 28, 2014.

Applications duly filled in will be received by hand delivery at the offices of Institute at New Delhi and at the Decentralised Offices of the Institute at Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Kanpur, Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Jaipur and Pune upto Oct 28, 2014.

The candidates who fill up the examination application form online from Oct 07 to Oct 28, 2014 and remit the fee online by using either VISA or MASTER Credit / Debit Card, shall not be charged Rs 500/-.

The aforesaid CPT is open only to students registered with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India for the Common Proficiency Course on or before Oct 01, 2014, and fulfill the requisite eligibility conditions.

Important dates:
Online registration will commence from Oct 07, 2014.
Last date for online registration on Oct 28, 2014.
CPT December 2014 will be held on Dec 14, 2014.
