Anna University Engineering TNEA 2013 Rank list announced

Anna University announced the engineering TNEA 2013 rank list. The candidates will be arranged in the increasing order of their ranks in this rank list.

The TNEA 2013 Rank list is calculated taking the various factors into count like the community categories, reservation criteria, inter-se merit guidelines.

TNEA 2013 rank list is available in the official website of Anna University.

Eleven students secured a perfect 200/200 in the Class 12 examinations, compared to 32 last year and 87 the previous year, in the list announced by higher education minister P Palaniappan on Wednesday.

More than 2 lakh candidates applied for Tamil Nadu engineering admissions.

Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) committee secretary V Rhymend Uthariaraj said, "With the number of perfect aggregate scorers going down, the cut-off has decreased marginally by .25 marks."

Abinesh S ranked first in Engineering. Seven of the top 10 students on the rank list belong to the backward class.

Bharani Dharan G 2nd rank, Raghuraman KK 3rd rank, Raveen K 4th rank and Ashwinkumar J 5th rank.

Around 1.97 lakh seats have been made available as government quota seats. Counseling for the engineering courses will commence from June 21, 2013.
