World Hypertension Day is observed on May 17, every year. The major goal of the day is to raise public awareness and educate the public about hypertension, often known as high blood pressure.
High blood pressure is known as the "silent killer" for a reason. Hypertension affects around 1.13 billion people globally, with men being more affected than women.

Treatment
Start with a balanced diet, then maintain a healthy weight, increase your physical activity, and avoid smoking and alcohol.
