World Hepatis Day is declared by WHO in 2010, the day is celebrated to honour Nobel Prize Winning Scientist Dr Baruch Blumberg.

5 Types of Hepatitis
Hepatitis A Hepatitis B Hepatitis C Hepatitis D Hepatitis E
It is caused by Hepatitis A virus and can be transmitted by contaminated food and water. Vaccines can prevent the disease.
Hepatitis A
Caused by Hepatitis B virus and transferable through saliva, wounds, fluids of an affected person. Can be detected in 1 to 6 months. Prevention is possible through vaccination.
Hepatitis B
Hepatitis C
Caused by Hepatitis C Virus and transferable through infected needles.
Severe liver disease caused by a virus Hepatitis D and spreads from infected blood or wound.
Hepatitis D
Either acute or chronic, it is a waterborne disease caused by Hepatitis E virus.
Hepatitis E
Except Hepatitis B and C, the disease is curable permanently.
