Why 75 Rs Coin and not 50 Rs Coin Issued?
As we all know that the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi inaugurated the new Parliament Building on May 28, 2023.
Along with the inauguration of the new building of Parliament, the PM also launched the Coin of Rs 75.
There lies an interesting fact behind this launch of the Coin of Rs. 75 and not Rs. 50 Coin!
So, let’s go through the several denominations of Coins that have been initiated by the Government of India, with their years of launch:
The INR, or Indian Rupee coins, were originally impacted in 1950.
Since then, coins have been rendered annually.
They are a key element of the Indian Currency System.

One Rupee Coin: 1975
Two Rupees: 1982
Five Rupees: 1949
Ten Rupees: 2005
Twenty Rupees: 2019

The reason for introducing the Seventy-Five Rupees Coin, and not Fifty Rupees Coin is that the nation is celebrating ‘Amritmahotsava’.
The currency is being generated by the center to commemorate India's 75th year of Independence.
