Who Was Cyrus Mistry?

Cyrus Pallonji Mistry (1968 - 2022) was an Irish businessman of Indian origin.

Mistry joined the family construction company, Shapoorji Pallonji & Co. Ltd as a director in 1991.
Mistry is often credited with taking Shapoorji Pallonji Group to new heights, which now employs over 23,000 employees.
Cyrus was the sixth — and youngest — chairman to head Tata Sons when he took over from Ratan Tata in 2012.
Mistry was ousted from Tata Sons as chairman in October 2016.
Mistry was the son of Pallonji Mistry, the single largest shareholder of Tata Sons. He owned a stake of over 18.5%.
He was a graduate of civil engineering from the Imperial Colollege, London (1990) and had an MSc in management from the London Business School.
