When was the First Statue of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar constructed?

We all know Dr. B.R. Ambedkar as the ‘Father of Indian Constitution’. But there are many facts about Bhim Rao Ambedkar that Careerindia comes forth with 

The Dalit Buddhist movement was inspired by Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkar, a widely known as Babasaheb, an Indian jurist, economist, politician, and social reformer.

He also supported the rights of women and workers and battled against societal discrimination against Untouchables (Dalits).

Let’s look into the lesser known aspects of one of the most learned men , Dr. B.R. Ambedkar:

Dr. B.R. Ambedkar was born on April 14, 1891.

He was the 14th and the last child to parents Ramji Maloji Sakpal and Bhimabai Murbadkar Sakpal.

The first Indian to obtain a Doctorate in Economics overseas was Babasaheb Ambedkar.

Dr. B.R. Ambedkar was the First Indian who graduated Dsc in Economics.

He was the first person in South Asia to acquire both a Ph.D. and a double Doctorate in Economics.

The RBI was established on April 1st, 1935, in accordance with the principles laid out in Babasaheb Ambedkar's book "Problem of Rupee: Its Origin and Solutions."

The first Indian to speak out in favour of the "Universal Adult Franchise" before the Southborough Commission was Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar.

Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar drafted numerous legislation benefiting women workers in India, including the "Mines Maternity Benefit Act," the "Women Labour Welfare Fund," the "Women and Child Labor Protection Act," the "Maternity Benefit for Women Labor," and the "Restoration of Ban on Employment of Women on Underground Work in Coal Mines."

Babasaheb Ambedkar introduced and passed many bills for the betterment of the society.

Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar introduced "Dearness Allowance" (DA), "Leave Benefit," and "Revision of Scale of Pay."

In 1942, Dr. B.R.Ambedkar set up the “Tripartite Labour Council’ to safeguard social security measures for the workers.

The "Minimum Wages Act" and the "Maternity Benefit Bill," were the contribution  of Babasaheb Ambedkar.

When Babasaheb was still alive, the first statue of him was constructed in 1950 and is now located in Kolhapur.
