Official Rersidence: All officers, whether IAS, IPS or other services, usually get a Goverenment bungalow or a 3 BHK apartment.
Utilities:Officers are provided with free or subsidized water, electricity, phone connection, cooking gas, etc.
Security:IAS officers are provided with 2 police personnel and 3 home guards for secutity.
Official Vehicles:As a Government Officer, you will get an official vehicle and a driver for your official duties.
Medical Treatment: Officers are provided with free or state-subsidized medical care. Health Insurance benefits are also provided to officers.
Leaves: Officers selected through UPSC CSE get 30 earned leaves, 8 casual leaves, 20 gazetted holidays and about 20 half-pay leaves.
Hardship Allowance: Officers working in Naxal areas, Ladakh and North east also get a hardship or a tough location allowance. It varies from Rs. 18,000 to Rs. 25,500 per month.
Education Facilities: All India Services ( IAS, IPS and IFS) officers after completing 7 years of service can take a 2- year paid leave and study allowances to study in Indian or Foreign Universities.
Post- Retirement Facilities: Officers who have joined prior to 2004 get a lifetime pension from Government funds.
