The data is based on the Consumer Pyramids survey conducted by the Centre for Monitoring Indian Economy Pvt Ltd (CMIE) between September and December 2021
It presented the shocking details that people with higher degrees are more likely to be unemployed than those with lower level of education.
Because of the social stigma attached to menial or low-paying, low-prestige jobs, people with higher qualification refrain from doing them. Something that less qualified ones have no problem doing.
