QS World University Rankings 2023: Indian Universities in QS Ranking

Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) has released the 19th edition of the University Rankings 2023 list, the largest ever, comprising of 1418 institutions across one hundred locations.

Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) from the USA continues to be the best university according to the QS 2023 ranking list for the eleventh time in a row.

Universities in USA and Europe have dominated the QS World University Rankings 2023 list as usual

Among the Indian universities in the QS World University Rankings 2023, IISc Bangalore has emerged as fastest rising university in South Asian region with an overall score of 49.5 and 155th ranking followed by IIT Bombay (172 rank) and IIT Delhi (174 rank).

A total of 41 Indian universities have featured in the QS World University Rankings 2023 with IISc topping the Indian side followed by IIT Bombay and Delhi respectively.

Indian Institute of Technology (IITs) continue their good run in the top 10 Indian Universities in the QS World University Rankings 2023 from among the Indian Universities.

The QS World University Rankings 2023 is compiled based on 8 key ranking indicators comprising of the following.

Academic Reputation, Employer Reputation, Citations per Faculty, Faculty Student Ratio, International Students Ratio, International Faculty Ratio, International Research Network and Employment Outcomes.
