MEA Annual Report 2022-23 of India on Pak-China Relation

Let’s look into the relationship between Pakistan and China, and how India has to say about it in the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) Annual Report 2022-2023:

The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) strongly criticised both Pakistan and China over border hostilities in its Annual Report, recently released.

Both countries, China and Pakistan disrupt peace along the Northern and Western frontiers of India.

MEA on China:

According to the Annual Report of MEA, India’s engagement with China is “complex”.

The MEA criticised China in 2020 after a border flare-up in Eastern Ladakh, saying that such acts had a negative impact on the peace and harmony in border regions.

According to the MEA, China has resolved to settle its differences through amicable negotiation and discussion along the LAC in eastern Ladakh.

India has continued to cooperate with China through both diplomatic and military means.

MEA on Pakistan:

Pakistan engages in “hostile and fabricated propaganda” to defame India and divert attention from its domestic political and economic failures.

India has categorically and unambiguously refuted all actions and statements made by Pakistan on issues that are solely domestic to India.

India routinely brings up Pakistan's ongoing support for terrorism across borders and terrorist infiltration in bilateral, regional, and global sessions.

Pakistan actively encourages interstate terrorism against India and imposes barriers to normal trade, connectivity, and human communication.

India wants cordial neighbourly ties with Pakistan, according to the MEA.
