The famous 'Dhanu Jatra' festival to be held in Odisha has started in Bargarh town of Odisha and this year the festival will complete 75 years.

Dhanu Jatra festival is celebrated as the victory of good against evil.
In the year 2014, the Central Culture Department has given the status of a national festival to the 11-day long 'Dhanu Jatra' and it has also been included in the 'Guinness Book of World Records'.
'Dhanu Jatra' started in the year 1947-48 as a festival organized on the occasion of the country's independence, since then this festival is organized every year.
The 'Dhanu Jatra' festival is also known as the world's largest open air theatre. This journey has made its mark all over the world.
During this festival, the town of Bargarh turns into a theater and Mathura, the Jeera river flowing here also becomes Yamuna river.
This festival lasts for 11 days. Kansa Maharaj rules the people for 11 days. Along with the local people, ministers, DM and other government officials also follow the orders of Kansa.
What happens in 'Dhanu Jatra' festival
During this festival, Kansa Maharaj also organizes the court, where the public reaches with their problems. Problems related to electricity, water, roads and health are placed before Janata Maharaj.
