Compare The Syllabuses

Though the syllabuses of AIIMS and NEET seem to be similar, AIIMS covers a few more topics due to the additional general knowledge and aptitude & logical thinking sections. Try to figure out what are the concepts in AIIMS that are not present in NEET. This activity not only saves time for AIIMS preparation but also increases your confidence. Acquaint yourself with the AIIMS exam pattern and syllabus.

Minimise Time While Reading The Basic Concepts

Almost all the basic concepts in both the examinations are one and the same. Devoting more than required to read the basic concepts during the last week is not encouraged. During the AIIMS revisions, you can start reading the notes you have prepared for NEET.

Focus On General Knowledge And Logical Thinking

A total of 20 questions were asked from both these sections, which were not present in NEET. Though the percentage of questions from these sections is very minimal, they play a crucial role for success in this exam. Try to be strong in current affairs and read topics such as world records, persons in the news, Freedom Movement, Indian geography, books and authors, science events, science and technology and international events.

Switch To The AIIMS Approach

Compared to NEET, the questions are lengthy and comprehensive in AIIMS. Aspirants should focus on switching to the AIIMS approach in this short duration. AIIMS asks the students to apply the theoretical knowledge in a practical way. The NEET preparations based on theoretical approach will help you during your AIIMS preparations.

NEET Previous Years' Question Papers

As we said above, AIIMS has its own set of rules for the test format and approach. However, the approach towards the direct questions will be same for AIIMS and NEET. More than thirty percent of the questions will be asked directly in the AIIMS examination. If you have solved the NEET previous years' question papers extensively, it will help you a lot.

Revision & Mock

This is known fact to many students that the revision is important during the last phase of the preparations. Try to recall all the strategies you applied for NEET and try to apply them while taking the AIIMS mock tests. If it works, you can continue using them. If not, you need to prepare a new strategy for the AIIMS examination.
