It is not a good idea to say yes or no without providing substantial information to the title. We all know that the Common Admission Test (CAT), one of the popular entrance examinations in India, is conducted for admission to IIMs and top B-schools.

Undeniably, admission to IIMs or B-schools in India will not be a cakewalk for aspirants because many institutes have the world reputation for their academics and have to maintain their positions in the World University Rankings.

As the CAT exam is conducted for entrance into top institutes in India, obviously, the best can only avail education at the institutes. Of course, the best can only knock the doors of the premier institutes, but how can we decide who are the best? Don't say academic grades, because taking the entrance examination is entirely different from the board exams.

To be honest with you, anyone can crack any entrance examination in India, be it the average or top students. This is even applied to CAT; however, they should motivate themselves with many facts.

What Is The Myth?

What Is The Myth?

There is a rumour amongst CAT aspirants that engineering graduates have an edge compared to others. This is mainly because over sixty percent of students selected to the institutes are from an engineering background. Honestly, this should not be considered because there are candidates from non-engineering courses also.

Know The Difference!

Know The Difference!

Any candidate can earn a full score in the entrance exam if there is no time restriction. The major difference between qualified and non-qualified candidates in the exam is processing the information in a given time. This is the area where an average person should improve.

Confidence Is The Key

Confidence Is The Key

More than fifty percent of the students just give the exam an attempt, like they would a regular exam. This is due to lack of confidence from lack of preparation. This draws the line between top and average students.

Who Are Your Competitors?

Who Are Your Competitors?

An aspirant should know about the actual competitors before starting to prepare for the exam. When it comes to CAT, only fifty to sixty thousand candidates are real aspirants though lakhs apply for the exam. If you need a seat in an IIM, you should be amongst the top ten thousand.

What You Need To Do?
