The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) exams have commenced. We have already discussed pre-exam preparation and presentation methods . For the final touch, let's look at what you must do during the last 15 minutes of the exam. If you manage your time well, you could ace the exams easily.
Basically, the last few minutes of the exam must be spent in checking the answer paper for any unconscious mistakes. Here is a list of what you must check and do:
Most often, students tend to make this mistake of mixing up the answer numbers when in haste. What a tragedy it would be to have all the answers written excellently but with jumbled numbers! It is important to write the numbers right because your answers will be evaluated using the answer key given against the question number. So check if you had numbered all answers right.
Read the question paper completely. Some questions might be present on the last page of the paper but seemingly hidden because the usual format of question papers might have questions ending on the previous page. So, even if you find the paper short or easy, finish it as soon as you can and check for extra questions if any.
Correctness Of Answers
Even though you know the correct answer, there is a possibility of getting confused when you are thinking about so many questions. While checking the answer paper, you will be able to identify the mistake when you go through it calmly. So re-read your answers after you finish the paper.
Since CBSE focuses more on the understanding of the students than on their memory, furnishing examples for each answer would be a relevant value addition. Since you have time at the end of the exam, try to add examples for long answers to score extra marks.
While you were busy writing the exam, you could have done some rough calculations on some part of the answer sheet. In case the examiner finds it unusual, there might be suspicions raised if it was a mark to indicate your involvement in malpractice. If that happens, chances are that your results will be withheld. So check for such careless mistakes and erase them, if any.
Separate time would be allocated for filling your personal details at the beginning of the exam. Despite the precautions, you might have missed to fill some column in panic or ignorance. So re-check if you have filled all the particulars as necessary. Usually, there will be an office copy of the form along with yours. Ensure that you have not written anything on it and that you have entered all your personal details correctly.
Some questions could be familiar but difficult to remember. After finishing the exam, think calmly and try to recollect the answers. There are more chances for you to remember them during the last minute. Even if you have not left a space for them in the middle of the answer paper, you still have the chance to write the question numbers and answers against them at the end of the paper. You might be lucky if the examiner considers them and there are more chances that they will do it.
Highlight Important Points
Since highlighting is an extra work, you might have foregone it to save time. Now that you have finished writing down all the answers, highlight the keywords and important points with a black pen for good presentation.
Manifest Positive Vibes
Even if you know all the answers, if you are anxious, you tend to make mistakes. Given that the exam is over, eliminate the unwarranted fears and feel positive. Once you get into the positive vibration, you will remember any undone tasks during the exam and go ahead with it dexterously.
Were you too shy or too busy to clear a doubt with the invigilator? Don't let it be uncleared because of your hesitation. When you have time after the exam, be vocal about it and clear your doubt to avoid any future problems. Don't let silly things like this come in your way of success.
