IIT Kharagpur Offering Free Online Course On Cloud Computing For UG, PG Students

IIT Kharagpur has launched a free online Cloud Computing course to assist undergraduate and postgraduate students, as well as researchers, in using and exploring cloud computing platforms. Participants must have a fundamental understanding of computer architecture, organisation, and networking in order to finish the 8-week course. The course is available on the NPTEL platform and is worth two credit points. Participants can also choose to receive certificates by paying Rs 1000 and passing an exam to be held on October 23, 2021.

IIT Kharagpur Online Course On Cloud Computing

Professor Soumya K Ghosh of IIT Kharagpur's Department of Computer Science and Engineering will lead the course. He completed his Ph.D. and MTech from the Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur's Department of Computer Science and Engineering. Prior to joining the institute, the professor worked in the field of satellite remote sensing and geographic information systems at the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO).

The primary goal of the course is to provide learners with a basic grasp of cloud computing, covering basics, management concerns, security challenges, and future research trends. Some of the topics that will be discussed during the course are as follows:

The interested participants must register for the course on the NPTEL portal using their SWAYAM, Facebook, Google, or Microsoft accounts before August 23, 2021.
