Last year, the government cancelled the remaining board exams when there were only a few cases in the country, and now when the cases are at the peak, they are opening schools. We urge the education minister to look into this matter and cancel all the exams for this year," said a petition on Change.org.

"Till now the students have faced so many problems due to the pandemic and lockdown. The classes have been held online, hence the exams should also be held online or students should be promoted on the basis of internal assessment marks," tweeted another user.

Every year, the practical exams were conducted in January and written exams in February and March. However, this year, due to the pandemic, the exams were delayed and are scheduled to be conducted in May and June.
